YOUNG CHURCH: Paul’s Third Missionary Journey
Overview
In Acts 20-24, we witness Paul’s unwavering commitment to the mission of spreading the gospel, even in the face of immense hardship and opposition. Paul, having completed his third missionary journey, gives a heartfelt farewell to the Ephesian elders, reminding them of his faithful service and urging them to remain strong in their mission. Despite knowing that trouble awaits him in Jerusalem, Paul proceeds with courage, trusting in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As Paul is arrested in Jerusalem and stands before both Jewish and Roman authorities, he uses his testimony to spread the gospel message further, turning even his imprisonment into an opportunity for witness. Through these chapters, we see how the Holy Spirit empowers believers not only to carry out their mission but also to endure trials and difficulties. Like a race that demands endurance, the mission of spreading the gospel requires perseverance, relying on the Holy Spirit for strength and direction.
